Preparation
- Cut 8 slices diagonally from a French stick and lightly toast.
- Meanwhile, place a dry frying pan over a medium-high heat and allow the walnut pieces to toast a little. Pour onto a plate and leave to cool until required.
- Generously spread the toasts with the goat's cheese, top with a few slices of fresh fig and scatter with the walnuts. Drizzle with honey and serve immediately.
Easy but elegant, this goat's cheese recipe is works just as well served as a starter as it does a brunch dish.
